Therapeutic practice/ counsellors’ responsibility
While in therapy I will providea supportive and safe space to openly discuss issues within the guidelines below. You (the client) have full use of each session and will receive no judgments about areas that are raised.
Some sessions maybe more challenging than others, if you feel the session becomes too much for you, make me aware and as will allow both of use to develop a better therapeutic relationship. If necessary, tasks maybe suggested to help you continue therapeutic growth outside of the counselling hour. I will abide by the National Counselling society’s framework.

Sessions will be carried out in a neutral location this includes my
personal office / organisation / walking / online/ phone

Information about confidentiality
All sessions are confidential unless issues that may harm yourself/others, child protection, terrorism, money laundering and court
ordered arise. Before any disclosure is made a discussion will take place with you (the client) to understand the best action going forward. Issue may be taken to supervision, but the information will be anonymised.
Other information
Counselling may not be able to continue (other than as a result of agreed session conclusion) - i.e. any contradictions that may result in
conflicts of interest or that may affect ethical boundaries.
Contact outside of sessions
Contact should be limited to re/arranging sessions. If contact is made this should be pre agreed. If by passing in the street I will make no acknowledgement unless you act first, this is to protect the therapeutic relationship.
